WHAT IS A OVERSIZED/OVERWEIGHT VEHICLE PERMIT?
It is a permit that allows an individual that is hauling a load or driving a vehicle in excess of the legal weight or size limitations to use a County road. 
 
WHO ASKS FOR A OVERSIZED/OVERWEIGHT VEHICLE PERMIT?
Typically a Private Citizen or a Contractor or an individual who works for a Commercial Industry.
 
WHAT IS THE CRITERIA THAT DETERMINES IF A VEHICLE IS OVERSIZED/OVERWEIGHT?

WHO DECIDES IF A OVERSIZED/OVERWEIGHT VEHICLE PERMIT IS TO BE ISSUED?
The area road supervisor, with guidance from the County Engineer.
 
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS A OVERSIZED/OVERWEIGHT VEHICLE PERMIT?
Typically a day to a week.
 
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
There is no fee if the individual has already obtained a similar permit for State Highways.
