Due to recent high water flows the
center pier underneath the Old Arden Highway Bridge, a 2-span concrete
bridge built in 1917, has been undermined through scouring, making the
bridge unstable. This results in immediate closure of the structure,
upon which the bridge will be closed in-definitely. Stevens County is
looking into potential options to fix the bridge and thanks the
traveling public for their patience during this emergency closure.
