911 Communications Officer Test Date Set

 We’re looking for people with a certain skill set - with, or without experience.   

ü  Do you have a sincere interest in helping people connect with services they need in an emergency?

ü  Can you remain calm and make quick, sound judgments under pressure?

ü  Do you have the ability to multi-task, (talking clearly, intently listening to a caller and typing information to relay to emergency personnel)?  

ü  Do you have good data-entry skills and type at least 35 wpm? 

ü  Can you work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays?

ü  Ability to pass a thorough background investigation. 

If you honestly answered yes to these questions, this might be the career for you and it’s one of the few careers that does NOT require a college degree; on-the-job, employer-paid training is provided.  Starting salary is $15.77/hr with generous benefits including medical & dental insurance, paid vacation, sick leave and holidays the first year.
