Assessor - Appraiser Trainee/Appraiser

Full time position; Applicant must have the ability to understand legal descriptions and be able to locate properties on a map and physically in the field.  Applicant must have the ability to understand the standards for appraising property set forth by the Department of Revenue and must meet other minimum requirements. 

Final applicants will be subject to a criminal background check. However, having a criminal record will not automatically eliminate you from consideration for the job. Records will be considered based on the requirements of RCW 9.96A.020, RCW 43.43, WAC162-12 and WAC 446-20.

 We’re looking for people with a certain skill set - with, or without experience.    Do you have a sincere interest in helping people connect with services they need in an emergency?  Can you remain calm and make quick, sound judgments under pressure?  Do you have the ability to multi-task, (talking clearly and intently listening on the phone while monitoring radio frequencies and typing information to relay to emergency personnel)?    Are you able to enter data at a minimum speed of 6,250 KPH and type at least 35 wpm?  Can you work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays? 

If you honestly answered yes to these questions, this might be the career for you and it’s one of the few careers that does NOT require a college degree; on-the-job, employer-paid training is provided.  Starting salary is $15.77 per hour with generous benefits including medical & dental insurance, paid vacation, sick leave and holidays the first year.  Interested?
