Job Description

LAND SERVICES BUILDING DIVISION is accepting applications for the open position of Administrative Assistant III.   This position assists in the day to day operations of the Land Services Building Division including; scheduling inspections, answering multiline phones, accepting building permit applications, and assisting in the daily processing of building permit applications.

 Were looking for people with a certain skill set - with, or without experience.   

  Do you have a sincere interest in helping people connect with services they need in an emergency?

  Can you remain calm and make quick, sound judgments under pressure?

  Do you have the ability to multi-task, (talking clearly, intently listening to a caller and typing information to relay to emergency personnel)?  

  Do you have good data-entry skills and type at least 35 wpm? 

  Can you work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays?

  Ability to pass a thorough background investigation. 

If you honestly answered yes to these questions, this might be the career for you and its one of the few careers that does NOT require a college degree; on-the-job, employer-paid training is provided.  Starting salary is $15.77/hr with generous benefits including medical & dental insurance, paid vacation, sick leave and holidays the first year.
